Lipidomics
MGAL is a core laboratory that provides genomic library preparation for high throughput sequencing, targeted metabolite and lipid analysis, and facilities for routine microbe culturing and storage. Our mission includes research support, education and training for the UH research community in addition to regional partners including local and federal agencies. Our services encompass a range of genomic techniques for various sequencing technology platforms (e.g., Illumina MiSeq and NextSeq, Sanger sequencing) and mass spectrometry-based analysis of small molecules. In addition, we maintain facilities for aerobic and anaerobic microbe work. We also provide letters of support for investigators planning to use our capabilities and expertise for grant applications.
