High throughput technologies generate large datasets of sequences, expression profiles, metabolites, and interactomes. Sophisticated data mining tools, database systems and well-trained bioinformaticians are required to manage and analyze this data. The Bioinformatics Core is a centralized resource for providing expert and timely bioinformatics consulting, analysis, collaborative research, management, and training solutions for high-throughput ‘omics’ data – genomics, transcriptomics, epigenomes, proteomics, metabolomics, metagenomics (microbiome), generated from PCR, microarray, NGS, mass spectrometry, etc. The Core provides high-level expertise in bioinformatics, ensuring the support needed for data science including study design, analysis, interpretation, integration, visualization, management, and storage as well as publications and grant applications.
